The “U.S. Solar Business Delegation to Germany” will provide 10 U.S. companies the unique opportunity to learn about the German solar energy market, to engage in political and business networking and to meet German companies engaged in the field of solar energy.
The delegation is funded by the German government and therefore is free of charge with the exception of travel expenses.
The event consists of:
- A half-day conference with speakers covering political, R&D and business aspects of the solar market in Germany.
- One-and-a-half days of tours:
* To companies like Concentrix Solar GmbH and Solar Fabrik AG, both manufacturers of state-of-the-art solar modules.
*To research institutes such as the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems and the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research, Baden-Württemberg.
*To examples of remarkable solar architecture like the “Sonnenschiff Project” (http://www.sonnenschiff.de) or the “Heliotrope Building”
- One full day of meetings between the U.S. delegates and German companies aimed at promoting transatlantic business opportunities.
This trip will be tailored to the needs of U.S. solar companies including solar cell and module manufacturers, project developers and distributors. This delegation is a unique opportunity to learn about Germany’s highly developed and market leading solar industry.
