Welcome!The German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC), California Branch, located in San Francisco, is the official representation of German industry and trade and acts as a link between German and American businesses, working mainly with companies in the renewable energy, information technology, semiconductor, biotechnology and nanotechnology industries. The GACC invites companies from all industries that have an interest in US expansion, particularly in the West Coast Region, to take advantage of its services. The GACC is also hosting business and political delegations from Germany to the West Coast in order to introduce German executives and politicians to their U.S. counterparts.
For over 60 years, the German American Chamber of Commerce, New York, has provided bilateral business relations between the United States and Germany. In 2004, the GACC California branch was established in San Francisco to make the United States West Coast more easily accessible for German companies and organizations. California, as one of the world's top ten strongest economies, is an important trading partner of Germany.
Our Services:
Consulting
 We offer a variety of services including, but not limited to, representing German companies locally, finding business partners, assisting in negotiations, and creating market analyses and strategies to ensure a successful market entry. In addition, we help our partners establish their business in the U.S.
| | Communications
 Our communications department is responsible for all of the chamber’s communication tasks. This includes the creation and distribution of publications and press information; specifically, the “German American Trade” magazine, the monthly AHK Newsletter and the quarterly Renewables Newsletter.
| Events
 We host different kinds of events throughout the year: Our our well known events include conferences focusing on solar energy and energy efficiency. We also organize economic and political delegations for the entire Western U.S. In addition, we hold industry networking events (for example, Renewable Energy Networking Mixers) and other occasional special events (i.e. Oktoberfest).
