“Mobility 2030: Transportation Technologies & Lifestyles of the Future,” organized by the German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc., California Branch, with the Volkswagen Group of America as main sponsor, will take a closer look at future scenarios for the year 2030 focusing on policy, energy, technology, mobility and society demands. Expert speakers will discuss what life in the United States may look like in 20 years, particularly in regards to transportation. What technologies may be available in 2030? Will we charge our cars just like we charge our phones today? Or will alternative fuels dominate? What role will public transportation and telecommuting play? How will society’s demand for energy be met? Will we be on track to reduce our carbon footprints and lower greenhouse gas emissions? These and many other questions will be discussed as experts introduce possible scenarios for 2030.
